We are seeking a dynamic and experienced communications professional to lead our talented team.
Head of Communications & Media
Salary: £38,000 per annum
Contract: Full time, permanent (35 hours per week) – job share may be considered
Based: The Lodge, Littlemore, Oxford, working from home or remote working
Our mission is to bring about nature’s recovery and empower people to act now for nature. You will play a crucial role in making this happen by developing and driving the organisation’s media campaigns, marketing, brand and profile, transformational communications (both external and internal), social media and digital engagement, ensuring BBOWT is an exemplar for the Wildlife Trust movement for general public and member engagement. You will develop and implement a powerful communications and messaging strategy that ensures significant growth in the awareness, engagement and participation in our work across the three counties.
You will have an eye for telling compelling stories and experience of developing successful communications strategies. You must demonstrate experience of designing engaging digital marketing communications. You will have experience of managing and developing a team with a collaborative and engaging management style. You will also have experience of engaging with a range of stakeholders internally and externally, including developing relationships with the media.
This is an exciting time to be joining our team as we develop our new strategic plan. We have a vision of a wilder Berks, Bucks and Oxon. We’re restoring nature across these beautiful counties and empowering people to connect with their local wildlife. As we work to manage habitats to tackle the nature and climate crises locally, we provide vital breathing spaces in a crowded world, our expert team work with more than 1,700 volunteers to look after 85 nature reserves and four education centres, run hundreds of amazing events, and campaign to make nature’s recovery a reality.
