The Bishop Simeon Trust is looking to appoint a Director who can provide strategic vision and leadership to the operation and development of the Trust, take overall responsibility for fundraising and for the management and administration of the Trust, working with the Board to help enable them to fulfil their governance duties.
The Ideal Candidate
This is an exciting opportunity for somebody with a broad range of skills who can demonstrate a passion for youth empowerment, co-production, children’s rights and protection in South Africa.
The successful candidate will be able to lead the organisation, innovate, build on the Trust’s history and strategic vision, as well as the strong partnerships it has to deliver its work. They must be a capable fundraiser, able to communicate with a variety of audiences either in person or using social media, newsletters and other publications.
The Bishop Simeon Trust has supported community development initiatives in South Africa since the days of Apartheid. We were founded in memory of the late Bishop Simeon Nkoane, a close friend and ally of our Patron Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu. We continue to pursue his vision of a South Africa where children of all faiths and none receive the protection and support that they need to be safe and achieve their full potential in life.
