Blind Veterans UK helps vision-impaired ex-Service men and women of every generation rebuild their lives after sight loss. Since 1915, we’ve provided rehabilitation, training, practical advice and emotional support to tens of thousands of blind veterans.
We are looking for an experienced nurse to perform and monitor comprehensive assessments of member’s needs. You will plan, implement and evaluate care delivery according to changing health care needs.
As Clinical Lead Nurse, you will develop and review risk assessments and contingency planning to support safety, while ensuring that the delivery of care to members meets the standards required by regulatory bodies, for example CQC, NMC.
You will also develop, lead and monitor the implementation of the Centre policies, procedures and clinical guidelines to ensure your compliance as well as other Care staff. This includes leading, promoting and practicing the highest standards of prevention and control of infection at all times.
The Clinical Lead Nurse is also responsible for monitoring standards of clinical care and will lead and facilitate improvements through benchmarking, audit and research.

Previous care home CQC experience preferred but not essential.
This position will be subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
