Blind Veterans UK helps vision-impaired ex-Service men and women of every generation rebuild their lives after sight loss. Since 1915, we’ve provided rehabilitation, training, practical advice, and emotional support to tens of thousands of blind veterans.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic person to work in our Sheffield based Member Support Hub. The successful person will work in a national team answering the phone and responding to blind veterans. You will be directing them to support within Blind Veterans UK and to other organisations. You will also be responsible for administering the specialist equipment that is stored in the Sheffield office and making this ready to send out to our blind veterans.
We are looking for a friendly and dynamic person who has good telephone skills talking with the public and ideally experience in giving remote support. You will also be willing to learn about administrating specialist equipment and working with colleagues in the recycling service.
To apply, please email your up-to-date CV and a tailored supporting statement of no more than 500 words in total, setting out how your knowledge, skills and experience match the person specification to us. Please note CVs without a tailored supporting statement, as detailed above, will not be accepted.
