We’re looking for a family focused Outreach Worker to help transform the lives of parents and young children in Doncaster.
Working as part of a small team you’ll support families with children aged between 0 and 5 to address emerging worries, build resilience and improve the longer-term outcomes of young children.
Based in local Family Hubs, you’ll connect parents with local services designed to help their child thrive. This will include targeted support from Family Lives and the full range of early years services available from Doncaster Family Hubs and local community organisations.
Working closely with our Senior Family Support Coordinator and a small team of volunteers, you will provide support in promoting the service with local schools, Family Hubs and children’s centres. Engagement of parents and caregivers will be a key part of this role, linked to developing relationships with key local agencies to identify who may benefit from the project.
Travel within Doncaster will be required but some home-based working is possible. The hours can be flexibly worked across the week.
You will have excellent communication skills, understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, as well as a commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.

We’re looking for a Family Support Worker to help transform the lives of parents and young children in Doncaster.
You’ll lead a small team providing families with children aged between 0 and 5 with short term, targeted support with a focus on reducing in equalities in child development/school readiness, improving parenting skills and improving health and wellbeing.
The service will provide an engaging programme of support through peer volunteers providing face-to-face befriending in the home and in the community, community-based group activities, support by phone and video as well as signposting activities.

Young Adults Diabetes service
Part Time - 30 hours per week
Fixed Term Contract until December 2024
Poplar HARCA is committed to providing a high quality youth offer to young people. The tried-and-tested youth offer has been developed through exhaustive consultation with young people. This included 1,600 conversations with young people to define the programme offer.
The Youth Support Worker role within the diabetes service is a new one and one that will develop during your time with us. You will be expected to work independently and feedback progress to the rest of the team.
As a Youth support worker, you will be required to be present and participate during clinic, educations session and peer support for young people living with diabetes.
The Youth Support Worker will work with young people on a one-to-one or group basis, and effectively manage a case load of young people to achieve positive health and social outcomes. Working alongside partners within the NHS, they will receive referrals for young people/ adults who require youth support linked to their diabetes.

Team Leader Parents Matter Service) 35 hours per week, £35,012 per annum, (including London weighting), Camden. Fixed term to end March 2026
Family support to pregnant mums and their partners during antenatal & perinatal period.
This is a highly rewarding role for a Team Leader to lead on the implementation of a new outreach strategy and working with Camden’s Early Years’ Service to deliver the start for life and family hubs programme, with a specific focus on enhancing antenatal provision as well as managing an established perinatal service.
The postholder will manage our established perinatal service and be proactive in developing excellent relationships and partnership with statutory and voluntary agencies, bringing local partners together and strengthen the wider antenatal support service offer available to new and expectant parents. This service will provide volunteer face-to-face befriending support in the home and community and provide phone/virtual support through one to one and group sessions.
The postholder will have line management and supervision responsibilities for a small team and will be expected to set up and deliver our parenting programmes for new parents in Family Hubs and the community. The service will work closely in partnership with the midwifery services, Children’s Centres/Family HUBS, health teams and mental health services.
The overall aims of the service are to:
· Improve mental health and wellbeing of parents during the antenatal & perinatal period.
· Reduce parents’ social isolation by ensuring they feel connected and supported through volunteer befriending and the provision of antenatal and postnatal courses, parenting programme and support groups.
· Increase parents’ self-confidence to have the best possible experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood.
The successful candidate will need to have 2 years’ experience of managing and supervising staff and volunteers. Excellent communication skills both written and oral, as well as experience of safeguarding are essential. You will also be required to have the ability to plan, prioritise and deliver in tight timescales, work on own initiative and as part of a team.
A professional qualification, degree or minimum level 3 qualification, in a relevant field of work with children and families is essential.
