Outreach Worker, 25 hours per week, £22,020 per annum, pro-rata Doncaster - Fixed term to end March 2025 (with potential for 2-year extension)
We’re looking for a family focused Outreach Worker to help transform the lives of parents and young children in Doncaster.
Working as part of a small team you’ll support families with children aged between 0 and 5 to address emerging worries, build resilience and improve the longer-term outcomes of young children.
Based in local Family Hubs, you’ll connect parents with local services designed to help their child thrive. This will include targeted support from Family Lives and the full range of early years services available from Doncaster Family Hubs and local community organisations.
Working closely with our Senior Family Support Coordinator and a small team of volunteers, you will provide support in promoting the service with local schools, Family Hubs and children’s centres. Engagement of parents and caregivers will be a key part of this role, linked to developing relationships with key local agencies to identify who may benefit from the project.
Travel within Doncaster will be required but some home-based working is possible. The hours can be flexibly worked across the week.
You will have excellent communication skills, understanding of safeguarding vulnerable adults and children, as well as a commitment to equal opportunities and diversity.

We’re looking for a Family Support Worker to help transform the lives of parents and young children in Doncaster.
You’ll lead a small team providing families with children aged between 0 and 5 with short term, targeted support with a focus on reducing in equalities in child development/school readiness, improving parenting skills and improving health and wellbeing.
The service will provide an engaging programme of support through peer volunteers providing face-to-face befriending in the home and in the community, community-based group activities, support by phone and video as well as signposting activities.

Working with families (parent and children)
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Outreach Worker to become part of our new peer led service in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan for parents and carers of children (aged 0-18), experiencing poor emotional wellbeing or with mental health concerns.
The service aims to help parents and carers feel more supported, less excluded and more empowered to support the mental wellbeing of their child achieved through learning new coping strategies, which can help families have fewer crises, and be able to access other services when needed.
