We are recruiting a Corporate Partnerships Executive to attract new, high-value partnerships and to grow and develop our existing portfolio of partnerships including managing events and fundraising activities.
You will have experience in identifying and managing partnerships in either the commercial or fundraising sector.
xperience working with corporate volunteers is desirable, but not a requirement.
The role is full-time. You’ll work from home as well as in our London office by St James’sPark.
The salary is £24,000 - £28,000 per year, subject to experience.

Bookmark – we want every child to read
In a ‘normal’ year, eight children in an average class will leave primary school unable to read well. These children will struggle in school and beyond. They are at risk of becoming one of 7 million UK adults who struggle with basic reading every day.The past year has been worse: the pandemic has had a huge impact on children, particularly the most disadvantaged in our communities. School closures left a vast number of children in primary school behind in their basic literacy and there is an overwhelming need for additional reading support in schools across the country.At Bookmark, we want every child to read. We give children the reading skills and confidence they need for a fair chance in life, through our flexible volunteer-led programme.Over the next three years, we have ambitious plans to reach more children at risk of falling behind in their reading in new locations across the UK. We need to cultivate and steward our portfolio of corporate partners to make that happen, and this is where you come in.

We moved our reading programmes online during the pandemic and we have grown significantly as a result. Demand for our support is high as children catch up on lost education this year. You will work closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager and wider fundraising team as well as colleagues in Marketing, Impact, Finance, Technology and our Operations team who support delivery of our reading programmes to children. Create and nurture your own your partnerships in a new fundraising landscape - We have a fantastic portfolio of existing partnerships with leading organisations that you can grow and nurture. Our cause remains urgent and relevant, and this is powerful with our existing and prospective donors.In response to school closures, Bookmark moved its programme online and volunteers from corporate partners and the community are supporting children across England from their homes and offices. The demand is only growing for corporate partners to find new ways to make a direct impact in local communities, to support their team’s wellbeing and engagement, and to work with charities like Bookmark in new and innovative ways.
The difference you’ll make in this role
You’ll grow and nurture impactful corporate partnerships
Manage exciting partnerships - You will be responsible for delivering corporate income towards the fundraising team target. You will manage a portfolio of corporate accounts, ensuring a first-class cultivation and stewardship journey.Lead on delivering creative events and activities that engage our corporate partners and maximise fundraising opportunities.
Drive new business - Work with our Research & Administration intern to build a strong corporate pipeline. Use a creative and entrepreneurial approach to identify, attract and secure new, high-value corporate partnerships. You will drive new income and develop long term multi-year partnerships for Bookmark.
Create compelling proposals - Create compelling and mutually-beneficial partnership proposals and collateral. Collaborate with, listen to and understand our existing and prospective corporate partners to grow income and ongoing support for our charity.
Communicate with impact - Lead Lunch & Learn sessions, employee engagement activities, and meetings with new and existing partners. Communicate the Bookmark mission with confidence to all our key external and internal stakeholders.
Support our corporate volunteers - Corporate volunteering is at the heart of many of our corporate partnerships. You will work with our partners and internal team to ensure the corporate volunteering journey is engaging and impactful.
You’ll also work with the rest of the Fundraising Team
Annual plans - Devise and deliver annual plans, together with associated targets, KPIs, budgets, in line with the charity’s strategic objectives.
Collaborate on events and stewardship activity - Work closely with the rest of the Fundraising Team to ensure opportunities to deliver events, activities and communications that maximise income across the fundraising function.
Database - Use Salesforce to manage the accurate recording and forecasting of corporate income, enabling efficient reporting and KPI management.
Reporting and financial tracking - Support the team with internal and external reporting, and financial tracking for fundraising activities.
Ethical - Ensure Bookmark’s ethical fundraising policy is adhered to.
What you will need to succeed in this role
• You will be target driven with a strong track record of securing new corporate partnerships.
• You have experience in account management and/or business development.
• You have excellentcommunication and relationship management skills, with partners and with your internal team.
• You have the verbal and written communication skills to influence, motivate and persuade people.
• You have a passion for creating and delivering engaging activities and collateral.
• You have excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to work to deadlines autonomously.
• You have an ability to meet targets and adopt a goal-oriented approach to work.
• Strong Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
• You have experience using Salesforce, or another CRM database.
• You have previous corporate partnerships experience in a charity setting.
• You have experience in a charity that has a strong corporate volunteering proposition.
