We are the UK’s leading bowel cancer charity. We are determined to save lives and improve the quality of life of everyone affected by bowel cancer. We support and fund targeted research, provide expert information and support to patients and their families, educate the public and professionals about the disease and campaign for early diagnosis and access to best treatment and care.
The Events Assistant will join a growing and dynamic team based in our London office in Kennington and will play a key role in delivering exceptional supporter care and stewardship to all of our fantastic events fundraisers. You will have the opportunity to build relationships with key fundraisers and support the team to deliver an exciting and varied events programme, all whilst raising vital income for the charity. You will also make sure that the team is kept up to date with the latest trends in the industry to help inform decision-making.
You will already have solid and demonstrable experience within supporter or customer care with a real interest in runs, treks and challenges. You will also have excellent administrative skills including experience of using a database and you must be proactive, resilient and capable of managing a busy workload.
You’ll be a team player with excellent people skills and the confidence to represent the charity in your day to day work and at events. Most importantly, you’ll have the desire to succeed and make a difference to the lives of people affected by bowel cancer.
