The Charity

Our partner is a leading national charity who provide life changing short breaks and holidays to families facing incredibly challenging circumstances. Their breaks are a chance for families to connect, revitalise and discover.

Covid-19, and the challenges of lockdown, mean that even more families are facing very difficult circumstances, and the need for the services that the charity provides is growing.

Since the charity was set up 45 years ago, they have enabled 52,000 families to take time out from their daily life – and just enjoy what many of us take for granted: fresh air, playing on the beach, eating ice cream.

Last year alone, 4,800 families took a vital break – some for the first time together as a family.

The Role

The charity is seeking an Experiences & Impact Director who can really make a difference and play an integral role in leading the charity and developing the experiences it provides to help families most in need.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a small team to deliver high impact, exceptional end to end experiences for families. They will work to understand and deliver the experiences families want and to ensure they mirror closely those experienced by families with the means to access them independently.

They will be responsible for defining and delivering all breaks offered, ensuring customers have an excellent, joined up experience through from first contact, to booking and reviewing the success of the break once it is completed.

In addition to managing the customer experiences, the postholder will be empowered to develop a framework that will enable effective performance analysis of the charities breaks and holidays.

The Person

To be successful, you will be a proven leader and have successful experience within a relevant sector which could include not-for-profit, travel and project management.

You will combine a desire to make a difference to families, with strong values and a demonstrable track record in designing and delivering projects in a co-ordinated and engaging manner, leading them to be completed and reported against on time, and to budget.
