Job description

The role

This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Policy, Evidence and Influencing team to influence change for people with breast cancer.

This role plays a key role in coordinating and delivering our campaign communications, helping to mobilise support and inspire people to take action with us, as well as keeping supporters informed of the team’s wider work and influencing successes. You will have responsibility for engaging campaigners, supporters and patients in the team’s work, to ensure it is informed by their experiences and strengthened by their voice as well as working closely with the Senior Campaigns Lead on all aspects of a range of campaigns, from planning to delivery. This will include our high profile campaign to improve treatment and support for people living with secondary breast cancer.

You will need to work closely with people affected by breast cancer to ensure they are at the heart of our campaigning as well as internal teams across the charity. You will need experience of working to influence change through campaigning and an understanding of the political decision-making processes.

About you

Whether you are currently working in a charity, for a health organisation, at an agency or other, you will need to be able to hit the ground running and, as such, have experience of working in a campaigning role. You will also have experience of working with supporters and advocates and possess excellent networking, communication and interpersonal skills and have a sound understanding of the political process.

This is an excellent opportunity for a cause-driven campaigner to both have a tangible, beneficial impact on the lives of those affected by breast cancer as well as the opportunity to grow your own career in a highly experienced, successful and collaborate team.
