About the role
The Direct Marketing officer role is a pivotal one within Individual Giving, managing campaigns of significant scale and generating income both now and for the future.
As part of the team generating £15 million per annum, the successful candidate will be responsible for acquisition and retention communications that talk to thousands of individuals, using their fundraising skills to effectively ask for money and build relationships with supporters across a wide range marketing channels and different activities.
With a large range of activity coming up and Individual Giving income growing strongly, this is an exciting time to join an experienced and effective team.
You will have good experience of running direct marketing activity to generate income, working with suppliers and at scale to solicit funds from tens of thousands of supporters.
A well organised person with excellent communication skills, you will be at home managing key external agencies and in house stakeholders to deliver complex, multi-faceted campaigns while closely monitoring and managing significant expenditure budgets.
Working across email, online, telemarketing, direct mail, door to door and private site, you will understand supporter motivations, and how to increase supporter engagement, testing and evolving our campaigns to best fit what works for our supporters.
We’re excited to announce that in April 2019, Breast Cancer Care and Breast Cancer Now united to create one charity for everyone affected by breast cancer. From research to care, our new charity has people affected by the disease at its heart – providing support for today and hope for the future. United, we can carry out even more world-class research, provide even more life-changing support and campaign even more effectively for better services and care.
By bringing together our passion, energy, expertise, funds and networks, we will make greater progress in more effective ways to make sure that, by 2050, everyone who develops breast cancer will live and receive the support they need to live well.
