An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our fundraising Community and Events team.
Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.
We are now looking for an Events Coordinator to play a key role within the team, supporting on the delivery of our flagship fundraising challenges, the Pink Ribbon Walks (PRWs). You will engage thousands of fundraisers, acting as a first point of contact and an ambassador for the organisation to excite and retain our supporters.
You will also lead on assigned projects, whilst supporting the team to deliver the Pink Ribbon Walks, to drive Breast Cancer Now forward as the go-to for challenge events.
This past year has been incredibly challenging within the charity events sector, with many of our events on hold until social distancing measures ease. At Breast Cancer Now we have worked hard to still create and deliver meaningful fundraising events for our supporters, and are now excitedly looking ahead to a busy events season.
We’re looking for someone with excellent attention to detail and a passion for charity fundraising. An understanding of and experience with administrative tasks such as data entry and working in a fast-paced environment is desirable.
You will be a first point of contact with hundreds of our supporters, many of whom will be in touch via email, phone or social media, so an understanding of using these channels and delivering customer service, particularly in the charity sector, is preferable. You should also have a demonstrable ability to work to deadlines, use your initiative managing a project, and have experience working as part of a team.
We are a dedicated team with our supporters at the heart of what we do, if you have an interest in charity fundraising, administration, and supporter experiences then this could be the role for you.

We’re that trusted friend that people affected by breast cancer turn to for caring support when they need it most.
