About the role
This Head of Central Community Fundraising and Marketing role is a fantastic opportunity to lead a driven, talented team of ten in a year of exciting opportunity for digital innovation across our products.
The role leads our Central Community Fundraising and Marketing team, empowering them to develop new community fundraising propositions, investigate digital innovation opportunities, provide comprehensive supporter care and stewardship to our supporters, champion and evolve the working relationship with the Regional Community Fundraising team and achieve marketing acquisition targets across Community and Events.
It’s a chance to lead on areas which have been identified as opportunities for strategic growth within the organisation in a challenging year; including our mass DIY and £1,000 Challenge programmes, as well as In Memory and Tribute fundraising. The role focuses on leading the team to develop an excellent community supporter experience, with relationship fundraising principles at its core, to help us build long-lasting relationships and enable future growth.
We are looking for a proactive, organised and personable individual, with a keen interest in team leadership, product development and supporter experience. We welcome and encourage candidates with Community Fundraising, Mass Participation and/or Individual Giving backgrounds, and experience in digital marketing campaigns.
You will have experience of leading and inspiring teams, specifically managing teams through change, and you will relish working to targets in a challenging environment. You will also have good knowledge of community fundraising and experience developing income growth strategies and fundraising propositions; as well as working closely with in-house marketing/brand teams to innovate and suggests new solutions where needed. You will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, as well as reaching and engaging new supporters. The role requires excellent organisation and time management skills, as well as a real interest in developing dynamic teams.
