Help us increase the impact of our services for people with secondary breast cancer.
As part of a new specialist team reporting to the Services Development Manager, Secondary Breast Cancer, you will be responsible for the delivery of both our face-to-face and online services for people with secondary breast cancer across the UK. Duties include coordinating service events, liaising with venues and speakers and recruiting, training and working with sessional therapists; including facilitating some online services. You will work with the Services Development Manager to ensure Breast Cancer Now delivers a quality support and information service. A key part of the role involves developing and maintaining relationships with healthcare professions and other external stakeholders to promote our services and increase their reach and uptake. Flexibility to travel and work outside normal office hours, with occasional overnight stays is required.
You will demonstrate a passion and commitment for supporting people with secondary breast cancer and an understanding of the challenges a diagnosis can bring. You must have experience of developing and delivering information, health or other support services and knowledge of UK healthcare systems. With excellent verbal and written communication skills, you will enjoy managing relationships with a range of different stakeholders, often remotely. Organised and with excellent time management skills, you must be able to use your initiative and prioritise your workload. You will work as part of a busy newly-formed team operating across different geographical sites, and therefore you will need to be a supportive and resilient colleague delivering an increased service offer to people living with secondary breast cancer.
