7 to 14 hours per week, between Monday to Friday (full or part days) with option to work on a Saturday

Office based (London, EC3N) or Homeworking with occasional training in our London office.

The role

We are looking to appoint Helpline Nurses to join our dedicated team of nurses. The Nursing team includes an Associate Director, Senior Clinical Nurse Specialists, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and Sessional Helpline Nurses and trained Helpline staff.

Our Sessional Helpline Nurses act as a resource for clients, healthcare professionals and the wider public on the subject of breast health and breast cancer. This includes providing information and support to clients though our national Helpline, by email and social media.

The Helpline service is run from home throughout the week, and on Saturday mornings (the latter is optional, other than training days). Team training usually occurs twice a year on Saturdays. You will be supported by a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist and have access to regular clinical supervision. The Helpline hours are 8:45am to 4.00pm. A minimum commitment of one day a week is required.

Please note that currently Breast Cancer Now is following Government guidelines regarding working from home. Although the Helpline is based in London the expectation is that once restrictions are eased, we will follow a blended approach between office and home working with most of the Helpline work being conducted from home.
