Job Description

Communications and Events Officer

Salary: £20,000 - £24,000 pa + 6% pension

Employment type: Permanent, 36 hours per week

Location: North London

Closing date: Friday 24th  May 2019, 12 noon

Do you have excellent communications, research and events organisation experience gained from the voluntary, public or private sector? Do you have experience of creating content for and maintaining a website, social media channels and engagement skills to reach a variety of different audiences?

As Haringey Council’s official ‘Strategic Partner’, The Bridge Renewal Trust delivers the Community Impact Haringey Service which aims to ensure the local voluntary and community sector (VCS) is stronger, better engaged and enabled to support all communities and meet the needs of all residents.  

We are currently recruiting a creative and versatile Communications and Events Officer to help develop and deliver a high-impact communications strategy, raising awareness of the service and supporting our community engagement activities.

We are looking for someone who is: creative and innovative; skilled in content development and copywriting for a range of audiences and is able to organise a variety of public events; has good knowledge and experience of engaging hard to reach communities through different communications channels including face to face and social media.

The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; and will be proficient in the use of a range of software including MS Office, Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop, Mailchimp and Eventbrite.
