Brightside works with 10,000 young people every year, providing personalised online mentoring. We partner with 60+ organisations, universities, charities and corporates across the country, and thousands of volunteer mentors. By 2023 we want to be working with 15,000 young people through mentoring, providing programmes to support all pathways to success.
The Impact Manager role will be an integral part of Brightside achieving our ambitious 2023 targets. This is a new role and it will have responsibility for producing robust and insightful evidence and analysis to help us evolve our programmes and consistently demonstrate the impact of our work with young people.
This is a broad role and we welcome applications from those who are able to demonstrate experience in some areas of the job description, either in programme delivery, research and evaluation or data and insight. Wherever your previous relevant experience lies, we are looking for someone with a strong and demonstratable knowledge of impact evaluation and its role in evolving practice. We are looking for someone who has an energetic, creative, and can-do approach, someone who thrives in collaboration and wants to manage the impact function for a small but growing mission led organisation
You will be supported and challenged in this role. All staff can get involved in activities across the organisation. We are committed to the learning and development of staff and your line manager will work with you to create a personal development plan to support your growth and career progression.
A DBS Check at the enhanced level will be required for successful applicants
Salary and benefits
Salary: £27,500 -£32,500 (depending on experience)
Contract term: Permanent
Hours of work: 37.5 hours a week, Monday-Friday
Holiday allowance: 25 days per annum excluding bank holidays, plus three days over Christmas when the ‘office’ shuts.
Working environment: Brightside is a flexible organisation. We currently offer the option to be fully homebased or, for those in London and the surrounds, we offer the option to work a hybrid way (with access to an office 3 days a week). There is no requirement to be office based, however all team members will be expected to travel for whole team meetings semi regularly (approximately twice a month).
