Executive Assistant to the President of the British Cardiovascular Society (BCS) and the Board. Provides professional PA and administrative support and is responsible for the provision of committee secretariat support to the BCS's overarching governance committees.
Based in the Executive Office the post holder will work alongside the CEO’s part-time PA and a Receptionist and works closely with the President, Officers, CEO, Managers and staff as well as 3rd party organisations who provide services to the BCS. You will enjoy taking responsibility, will have a strong work ethic and can-do attitude and first-rate interpersonal and team-working skills.
- have experience of providing support to committees including agenda setting and taking minutes
- have excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and administrative skills, and an ability to multi-task
- be confident in building strong service relationships with senior stakeholders of the BCS, will be politically astute, have excellent integrity and be able to assimilate complex information with ease.
This post is offered at a time of transformational change in the BCS as we seek to modernise our digital systems and infrastructure, professionalise our services to our members and Affiliate Societies and develop internal governance arrangements, working practices, policies and procedures to ensure we continue to meet the needs and expectations of our members now and in the future as we move towards our centennial anniversary in 2022.
