As a Store Manager Designate for our growing number of Home stores you will be working in one of a number of stores in this area and eventually have the responsibility of your own store.
This is a hands on role. Working in a busy store, you will be leading your team on the shop floor and in the warehouse to generate stock and maximise profits. You will lead by example using your commercial and leadership skills to drive our stores forward while ensuring we deliver excellent customer service at all times. You will support and motivate a team of store staff and volunteers to maintain our high standards in store.
With exceptional communication and interpersonal skills you will be able to adapt to your store quickly, using your organisational and planning attributes to manage all the activities in the store from training to the financial and visual merchandising.
From working in a variety of stores you will gain exposure to different markets, layouts and turnover of stores before taking responsibility of your own store.
This position is for 35 hours and includes some weekend working on a rota basis.
About you
We are looking for someone with previous retail supervisory experience and confidence working in a fast paced environment. Motivated by the knowledge your hard work will make a life-saving difference, you’ll need to be proactive, driven and commercially aware. Leading by example, you will need to have the passion and leadership skills to motivate a team of staff and volunteers within the region that you’re covering.

The Director of Philanthropy is a key leadership role within the Marketing, Fundraising and Engagement directorate at the British Heart Foundation (BHF). About you
We are looking for a creative and motivational leader to nurture, challenge and inspire our philanthropy team to reach ambitious fundraising goals. You will need demonstrable experience of building long-term relationships with high-net-worth constituents as well as a strong track record of securing complex, multi-stakeholder gifts at the 6- and 7-figure level. Experience of working with trustees and/or volunteer committees to drive philanthropic income will also be important.
The ideal candidate will also possess confident communications skills, a high degree of emotional intelligence, a strong sense of integrity, intellectual curiosity and the presence and gravitas to operate at the highest levels both internally and externally.

About you
As our ideal candidate, you have experience of designing and delivering training in a customer-centric contact centre environment and the ability to create and deliver engaging training at all levels, with a specific focus on new team members and entry level roles.
With strong stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills, you have excellent Microsoft Office skills (incl. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams). You also have experience of digital content creation (e.g. short videos, infographics, bite-size eLearning modules), or an aptitude to learn on the job.

Owning and leading our shopiago product, which is our proprietary software that enables us to optimise our inventory management, pricing, and listing across multiple marketplaces, you’ll measure and evaluate the performance and user satisfaction of our digital applications and use data and insights to inform the product decisions and enhancements.
About Technology Commercial and Retail
In response to the rapid expansion of our shop and store network, the evolution of online pre-loved marketplaces, and the increasing integration of digital technologies in our operations, we have formed three dedicated product teams.

With retail and/or online listing experience as a product owner, product manager, or similar role in the digital domain, you’ll have a strong proficiency and understanding of digital product development and product life-cycle management you’ll have previous knowledge of product discovery techniques, data analysis and insight tools.

Are you a Strategy and Governance expert looking to put their mark on the work of British Heart Foundation (BHF)?
As our Technology Strategy Manager you’ll be responsible for initiating and delivering longer-term strategic activities within our Technology directorate such as governance, communication and engagement, ongoing culture change and innovation.
You’ll be responsible for strategic planning and performance monitoring activities. This will include (but not limited to) supporting the Technology Senior Leadership Team (SLT) with annual planning and translating plans into multi-year roadmaps to track throughout the year.
You’ll also support us to understand Technology trends, establishing a robust and routine approach to horizon scanning, identifying the potential impact of trends on our operations and presenting findings and considerations to SLT and other BHF stakeholders (e.g. our central Strategy & Impact team).
Technology serves several customers, and it is important to maintain good communication and engagement with these different audiences. You’ll continuously scan for new opportunities internally and externally and hold a forward calendar view of future moments and opportunities for Technology to utilise with different stakeholders, maximising our impact and working as efficiently as possible.
You’ll also contribute to the adoption of frameworks, policies, processes, and standard procedures across BHF, ensuring a customer first approach is applied to these activities, knitting together information from across the Technology portfolio and operational teams in a presentable manner.

As our PR Manager for the Midlands and the North of England, you will raise the profile of the British Heart Foundation (BHF) in support of our lifesaving work.
Responsible for creating awareness of BHF, you’ll focus on our research funding and its impact to grow our support and income. You’ll promote BHF’s work, influencing local partners and shaping the charity’s reputation through media, engagement events, and other communication channels.
Working with local teams to devise and deliver impactful communication strategies, you’ll meet challenging KPIs and demonstrate significant impact which should raise the public’s propensity to give. You will work with the UK-wide media team to devise and deliver PR strategies to promote key brand and awareness campaigns.
Your local expertise will guide the way we influence and use both traditional media, digital channels, and engagement opportunities.
Working arrangements
Please note this is a 12-month fixed term contract, covering secondment. Start date is as soon as possible. The contract will run for 12 months from start date.

About you
With a strong proficiency and understanding of product development and product life-cycle management you’ll have previous knowledge of product discovery techniques, data analysis and insight tools.
You'll have previous product experience working with Finance, Risk, Planning and/or Legal systems, and will also have previous agile scrum experience.
