Job description

Are you motivated by British Heart Foundation's ambition to transform the survival rates from out of hospital cardiac arrest (OHCA)?

We are working with the Resuscitation Council (UK) and the UK's ambulance services on a national transformational change programme to map the location of every defibrillator for public use from Land's End to John O'Groats. Together, we want to increase the likelihood of the tens of thousands of defibrillators in the UK being used during an OHCA and thereby help save lives. Your role will be to ensure that this change programme delivers the ambition of all the stakeholders involved.

About the role

As Business Development Manager you'll work in partnership with the ambulance services, the Association of Ambulance Services Chief Executives and the Resuscitation Council (UK) to deliver the roll out of The Circuit: the national defibrillator network. The Circuit is now live in the West Midlands, Scotland and Wales and we are rolling it out to the remaining 11 ambulance services in the new year.

You'll work alongside key contacts and colleagues across our partners to ensure the smooth delivery of this change programme. The role will require travel across the UK regularly, this could be several times a week during key periods of change and roll out.

About you

In this external facing role we're looking for someone with excellent diplomacy and communication skills. You'll have the ability to develop strong working relationships quickly and with ease. Project management training or experience of delivering projects involving multiple stakeholders is essential.

With significant experience of working at a management level either within an ambulance service or a relevant charity, you'll have experience of leading on a large change programme as well as excellent knowledge of community resuscitation initiatives and programmes within the UK.

To be successful in this role you'll have the following skills and experience:
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Previous experience delivering presentations and show and tells
* Strong collaboration skills, able to build valuable relationships with customers, partners, suppliers and colleagues while championing BHF values, products and brand
* Excellent project management skills
* Excellent planning and organising skills, able to prioritise, schedule and track work across dependencies taking account of deadlines, staffing and resource requirements
