About us

Since the British Heart Foundation's creation more than 50 years ago, the research we have funded has helped to transform the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of many heart and circulatory diseases. The breakthroughs we have helped make possible include new treatments for heart attacks, genetic diagnosis of inherited heart disease, the UK's first heart transplant and the first portable defibrillator. Despite this progress, heart and circulatory diseases are still the world's biggest killers. One in four people in the UK still die of cardiovascular diseases and the figure is even higher around the world.

In return we offer a variety of benefits including a generous annual leave package, flexible working, healthcare and dental plans, and subsidised gym membership.
