About the role
As our Content Designer you’ll scope, commission, write, edit and publish high-performing vibrant digital content that deepens engagement for our wide and varied audiences across and refines our digital portfolio.
We're driving dynamic digital change and growth, currently we're embarking on migrating on a website upgrade project where we need to migrate a lot of Evergreen content on the site into new page templates, you'll be delivering content audits, optimisation and content removal.
You'll work with staff right across the British Heart Foundation (BHF) on a variety of content projects, using evidence and analytics to embed a test and learn culture. You’ll also get the opportunity to train colleagues in digital best practice and content production, sharing knowledge on digital disciplines from design principles to SEO and analytics.
You'll help grow our opportunities through considered journey mapping, tailored experiences, on-page optimisation and improvements to the sitemap and taxonomical structure.
Please note this role is being advertised as Content Designer but will be known internally as Digital Content Designer.
Whilst this role will be based in London, the BHF will be following a blended approach between home and office working. This will allow us to unlock our best work for our cause, blending the best of home and office working.
With experience working in a similar role across a family of websites, you’ll have working knowledge of content management at an editorial level.
Knowledgeable in SEO with experience of optimising content for organic search, you'll have previous experience in using analytics and user insight to make data informed decisions on content development.
To be successful in this role you will also have the following:
• Demonstrable experience of writing for the web
• Strong experience using Content Management Systems
• Experience of writing proposals for A/B tests
• Experience of working with a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, both internal and external
• Highly efficient with strong time management skills
• Experience of training and supporting others in digital content production
