About the role
You’ll work closely with our Technology and Digital and Customer Experience departments to ensure our customer facing web systems, marketing systems and other applications are well integrated, robust, scalable and secure.
You’ll meet agreed architectural principles and representing good value for money for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), whilst also supporting the BHF in moving towards an API based architecture hosted in the cloud with data flowing securely and smoothly between systems including our web site(s), marketing platforms, CRM, customer service tools and other BHF systems.
A subject matter expert in API centric architecture, you’ll have previous Cloud experience Azure or AWS.
You’ll have expert knowledge in web platform technology
• .Net 4 and above
• Microsoft web technologies (inc SQL Server, replication, ARR)
• Monolithic Server architecture
• Cloud architecture (eg.Docker, RDS, Lambda, Web Services)
• SSO technologies
Fluent in the Microsoft stack, from on-premises to Cloud PaaS/IaaS , you’ll be able to work with software developers and infrastructure teams to ensure Web apps, services and provisions are highly scalable, elastic and tolerant.
You’ll also have experience of best practice in enterprise integration, API development, content management and scalability, as well as good web platform experience, including awareness of the latest techniques, standards and best practices.
You’ll be able to work with staff at all levels up to and including senior management and have excellent communication skills, able to liaise and work with non-technical people in a clear manner and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

The British Heart Foundation is currently following Government guidelines regarding working from home. Although the role is based in London, the expectation is that once restrictions are eased, we will follow a blended approach between office and home working.
