Are you an infrastructure expert?

Could you provide world class project delivery to the British Heart Foundation (BHF) across business, security and infrastructure projects?

If so you could be the Infrastructure Project Engineer we’re looking for!

About the role

As our Infrastructure Engineer for Projects you’ll provide technical implementation skills to build and deliver a range of solutions as part of business, infrastructure and security projects.

Working to agreed designs, you'll ensure all solutions are correctly delivered into service, with appropriate and completed documentation, monitoring requirements, testing and an agreed and approved support model.

You’ll also provide a transfer of knowledge and associated skills training to the support team as part of any new project being delivered into service. As well as ensuring knowledge and assistance in supporting the infrastructure across the organisation when required.

About you

With strong technical knowledge you'll have practical experience of the following data centre and cloud technologies:
o VMWare, including VMWare VSAN and NSX
o Storage Management (SAN) (Cisco UCS, Pure, Dell Data Domain)
o Backup, restore and business recovery experience (Veeam)
o Microsoft Azure Cloud Technologies (PaaS/SaaS/IaaS)

You'll have significant experience of implementing and supporting Infrastructure technology solutions as well as practical experience of data centre migrations.

With strong experience in working with virtual teams and 3rd parties you'll also have experience in documenting technical implementations and transitioning to support teams as well as experience working with functional and technical specifications and requirements and solutions designs in order to carry out implementation tasks.

Able to work with staff at all levels, including senior management/leaders, you’ll have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, able to liaise and work with non-technical people in a clear manner.

Self-motivated and a self-starter, you’ll have excellent analytical skills, able to communicate findings effectively and will have a flexible approach to operational requirements.

Please note this role is being advertised as an Infrastructure Engineer but internally the role will be known as a Technology Project Engineer.
