Job description

Do you have experience of working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders? With an understanding of Agile approaches and concepts?

We have an exciting opportunity in our growing online development team and you could be the Online Project Support Officer we are looking for!

The Online Retail department is an integral commercial arm for the British Heart Foundation (BHF), helping to deliver our grow-income retail strategy, plus the wider organisational strategy of supporting research and innovation, and drive income growth across our commercial and online retail offerings.

As an Online Project Support Officer you’ll support key programmes and lead the coordination of information for programmes and projects (engaging with internal and external stakeholders); provide key communication updates; monitor work and progress against plans; offer vital assistance to programme and project managers; and prepare reports and supporting documentation as well as coordinating programme and project board meetings, ensuring information is up to date and accurate at all times.

You’ll implement workstreams within a range of projects through supporting project and programme managers.

As an integral part of the online development team, you’ll work across directorates to ensure all aspects of the projects you are supporting are delivered, and that all BHF Project Management Office (PMO) and governance is followed to ensure excellent, on time delivery of the projects and workstreams.

Working arrangement

This is a dual location role, with your working time split between your home and once a fortnight at our Leeds Office. This will allow us to unlock our best work for our cause, blending the best of home and office working.

Here at the BHF we understand that you might need a little help balancing your work and home life. Many of our people work flexibly in many ways. Please feel free to talk to us about the flexibility you may need; we’re happy to explore what’s possible for you and the role.

About you

With an understanding of Agile approaches and concepts you’ll have experience of working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and will be highly IT literate with extensive practical experience of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications.

You’ll have previously been involved and supported projects and will have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and flexible approach and will have high-quality programme and project support skills. With exceptional organisational skills, you’ll have a process-driven approach with strong attention to detail and will be a motivated, self-starter who can easily prioritise and manage workloads.

Working across directorates you’ll build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders, taking on a very hands on approach to both the delivery and implementation, as well as the management of your workstreams.
