About the role
We are looking for a Programme Support Officer to join us and provide vital assistance to project & programme managers and support the coordination of project information for internal and external programme stakeholders. You’ll primarily support the programme of change activities from our People and Organisational Development (POD) directorate and will ensure key communication updates are shared. You'll monitor work and progress against plans, preparing reports and supporting documentation, preparing programme board meetings and ensuring projects remain complaint with PMO standards at all times.
With PRINCE2 Foundation or equivalent project management training you’ll have a previous track record of working in programme or project support.
With previous experience of successfully working on complex and diverse programmes in large organisations in a programme / programme support role you’ll also have experience of working with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including senior management. You will also have experience of managing programme financials, tracking and billing.
To be successful in this role you will:
• be highly IT literate with extensive practical experience of the Microsoft Office Suite of applications including MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint, MS collaboration tools such as MS Teams and PPM tools.
• have previous experience of working in partnership with multiple stakeholders
• be able to develop presentations and written content for diverse audiences and communication channels
• have an understanding of business change management methodology and key principles for stakeholder engagement
