Job description
We are looking for a Proposition Development Manager to empower Philanthropy and Partnerships (P&P) fundraisers to attract, engage and retain the British Heart Foundation's highest value supporters through the development of strategic funding propositions that reflect these supporters', P&P's and BHF's priorities.

About the role
High-value fundraising at the BHF has ambitious plans. Through Philanthropy alone we aim to raise £20 million by 2024 to fund world-class and lifesaving research into heart and circulatory diseases. We are currently laying the foundations for future growth and success.

As Proposition Development Manager, you'll work collaboratively with teams across the BHF to create compelling propositions on the BHF's existing portfolio of work and future plans that support income generation from high-value fundraising audiences.

You will also produce high-quality, clear and accurate project concept notes, 'cases for support', funding proposals, updates,'impact' reports and other relevant communications to help secure six to seven-figure gifts and encourage long-term support from high-value supporters.

About you

You'll have knowledge and understanding of all high-value fundraising audiences and landscape.

With proven experience developing and delivering successful funding propositions, ideally in a similar role, you will be able to work autonomously and manage projects across teams in a large, complex organisation. You'll also be able to identify and package up project funding opportunities for high-value audiences and have previous experience writing successful funding proposals and reports from start to finish, preferably within the medical research space for at least six-figure gifts.
