Job description

Do you want to contribute to the continuous business improvement activities of our Business Analyst team?

Do you want to use your skills to help the BHF fund even more scientific breakthroughs to help us save and improve the lives of families and loved ones?

About the role

As a Senior Business Analyst you’ll lead, coordinate, and deliver analysis activities across a variety of business transformation programmes, projects, and digital technology products.

You’ll work with key internal and external stakeholders and focus on the customer experience through gathering, articulating, and prioritising requirements for business improvement initiatives and play a key role in bridging the gap between the needs of the organisational and technology solutions.

Working within both Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies, you’ll play a key role in shaping the success of technology initiatives through implementing analysis tools and techniques to enhance process, user experience and implementation alignment through to solution outcome. You’ll also identify business challenges and work with technical teams to create effective solutions, considering process alignment and documentation throughout.

Working arrangements

This is a dual location role, with your working time split between your home and approximately once a fortnight in our London office.

We understand that you might need a little help balancing your work and home life. Many of our people work flexibly in different ways, from the hours or days they work, to their office or home location or a blend between the two. Please feel free to talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need; we’re happy to explore what’s possible for you and the role in helping to deliver our cause.

About you

With previous experience of working within a Business Analyst role within a large organisation to implement business change, you’ll have previous experience of working within PRINCE2 and Agile SCRUM methodologies.

You’ll have a proven track record of building positive relationships and working with business stakeholders, colleagues, support teams and suppliers and will have experience of planning and designing analysis workstreams across project and product initiatives.

Able to recognise the importance of continuous self-development, and not afraid to ‘Roll up your sleeves’ and go the extra mile when needed, you’ll have previous experience of developing business cases for strategic change initiatives, able to review current business processes and work with stakeholders to define effective improvements.

A strong problem solver, with a methodical and analytical approach, you’ll have an attention to detail to eliminate assumptions and ambiguity and will have excellent written and verbal communications skills able to articulate ideas, thoughts and engage in the decision-making process.

You’ll be able to develop and motivate junior team members through direct line management, bringing clarity to the work of the team, by focusing their effort and commitment, evaluating performance and by providing regular feedback that addresses development needs.
