Job description

We’re looking for a talented and tenacious fundraiser, with strong communication and relationship building skills to join our team. Is that you?

About the role

As a Senior Trusts Executive you’ll build on and expand our Trusts Mailing Programme as well as manage a portfolio of smaller Trusts and Foundations, donating up to £50,000  (and higher, depending on experience).

You'll provide a high level of personalised donor care and stewardship to encourage and maintain long term support to the British Heart Foundation (BHF).

You'll enjoy taking the initiative to research, develop and engage with new prospects, helping to deliver fundraising strategy, in line with the wider Philanthropy team's objectives, and achieve ambitious income targets.

Everything we do comes back to funding lifesaving research for all heart and circulatory conditions including heart failure, stroke and vascular dementia. The donations we receive are used to make people’s lives healthier and longer. As part of the philanthropy team, you’ll make a significant impact funding the advancement of our life saving research in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of heart and circulatory diseases.

This is a dual location role, with your working time split between your Home and our London Office. This will allow us to unlock our best work for our cause, blending the best of home and office working.

About you

With experience in working in a high value major gift environment, you'll have previous project management experience and will be able to write compelling proposals and reports.

Ambitious and analytical you'll be able to interpret complex data and communicate it compellingly and present a convincing case. You’ll have experience in managing spreadsheets and budgets and be conversant with Microsoft packages, BBEC and Raisers Edge.

You’ll have a flair for building long-lasting relationships quickly and will be able to provide a high level of personalised donor care and stewardship to encourage and maintain long term support.

An innovative and creative thinker you'll be able to help identify and maximise funding opportunities and be knowledgeable of trusts and foundations fundraising with an understanding of the resources available.

You’ll have strong communication, networking and influencing skills able to engage with both external and internal stakeholders and enjoy building a collaborative working environment.

About us

Our people are at the heart of everything we do. By funding research across six decades, we’ve helped keep millions of hearts beating and millions of families together.
