University Account Executive (North West, West Midlands & North Wales)

Are you an experience Account Executive with strong sales skills?  Could you help build and develop relationships with Universities for the British Heart Foundation (BHF)?

About the role

A core part of the commercial growth strategy has been the development of partnerships with a wide range of new channels including companies, Universities and Local Authorities to source donated stock. 

As University Accounts Executive, you’ll generate significant levels of stock for many of our shops and stores, primarily working with Universities across North West, West Midlands & North Wales to target students leaving at the end of the academic year.

Essential to this growth strategy is the need for effective account management of existing partnerships developed in previous years to increase their value as well as the acquisition of new Universities to bring stock into the charity. The retail partnerships team now needs someone with strong new business/sales generation experience to pitch to universities as well as develop and implement delivery plans for Universities for the Commercial Division.

You’ll be responsible for all current University partnerships in the North West, West Midlands, and North Wales as well as:
• Securing further partners over the next 2 years to reach our 2024 targets
• Acting as the key point of contact 
• Leading on the delivery of cross sell and upsell of additional stock generation, sales promotion and key charity campaigns in the region
• Diligent data analysis, evaluation of each activity and reporting

You’ll also get the chance to be involved in ad-hoc projects as required.

Please note this is a home based role covering North West, West Midlands, and North Wales and involves regular travel across these regions and occasional presence in a local office.
About you

You’ll have excellent communication skills able to pick up the account management of existing partnerships developed in previous years to increase their value as well as the acquisition of new Universities to bring stock into the charity. 

With a strong new business/sales generation experience, able to to pitch to universities, you’ll be able to develop and implement delivery plans for our commercial directorate.

To be successful in this role you’ll have the following skills and experience:

• New business/sales generation experience
• Ability to pitch to, as well as develop and implement delivery plans for Universities
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Data analysis and evaluation skills for each activity and reporting.
