Communications Officer (Scotland)
An opportunity has arisen to join our high performing Devolved Nations team. Reporting to the Head of Devolved Nations, your role will be to deliver creative communications in Scotland to enable the charity to deliver its organisational strategy in a cost effective and efficient way. This role will also promote our research and exciting developments in lung health research.
You will deliver an integrated social media and media relations service in Scotland which generates both reactive and proactive opportunities and raises the profile of Asthma UK and the British Lung Foundation. Responding promptly and authoritatively to media requests, you will proactively identify and maximise media and social media opportunities across a range of outlets and channels. Ideally you will have a background in medical or science research and/or experience of writing about medical research.
You will be energetic and enthusiastic and bursting with ideas.
