Britcross Limited: External Director Volunteer
Could you use your commercial knowledge to assist the British Rec Cross help people in crisis?
Commitment: Directors are required to attend meetings twice a year; but other meetings may be convened if necessary.
Location: Meetings will be based in London, normally at our British Red Cross head office

About Britcross Limited
Britcross Limited, a non-charitable company wholly owned by the British Red Cross, is currently seeking a volunteer to join its Board of Directors as an external director. Britcross Limited achieved a turnover of just over £1.7m and a profit of just over £860,000 for the year ended 31 December 2018.
Britcross Limited's Board of Directors is made up of a director from the Red Cross' Board of Trustees; two directors from the Red Cross' Senior Management Team; and an external director. The Board of Trustees makes appointments of external directors.

What we are looking for
You'll be ideal for this role if you have demonstrable trading or retail experience, with strong business acumen and would love to play a part in helping the British Red Cross thrive.
Some of the responsibilities of the role include:
- act within their powers as laid out in the Memorandum and Articles of Association
- promote the success of the company
- exercise independent judgement
- exercise reasonable skill, care and diligence
- avoid conflicts of interest
- not accept benefits from third parties
- declare interests in a proposed transaction or arrangement
