Coordinator - Mobility Aids Service
Contract type: Permanent
17.5 hours per week (3 days per week to be agreed)
Salary: GBP 19,276 per annum (pro rata)
Could you train, support and coordinate a team of volunteers within Nottingham?
We have a new vacancy for a Co-ordinator to join our Mobility Aids team. In this role, you will manage the daily operations of the local spoke offices in Nottingham, as well as overseeing the recruitment, training, and guidance of a group of volunteers.
You will also maintain volunteer records and sufficient volunteer numbers to ensure that service users receive the highest levels of customer care.
The Mobility Aids Service (MAS) supports people who need short-term hire of wheelchairs and other equipment to remain living independently.
The MAS works on a hub and spoke logistics basis with hubs undertaking cleaning, maintenance and administration and spokes maintaining a high standard of service user interaction and support.
This role might be for you if
You're a 'people person' - you'll have experience leading, motivating, training and supporting a team
You've got experience of working in a busy office, you can prioritise and manage your workload along with that of your team who will often be based remotely
You're able to lead a team through a period of change and have the ability to deal with sometimes difficult issues in a sensitive manner
You're comfortable within a warehouse environment, manual handling equipment when supporting customers with their pickup of equipment
