Job description

Could you lead a high performing Corporate Partnerships team within the British Red Cross?

Can you be responsible for maximising the opportunities from the UK private sector to build and deliver high value, mutually beneficial partnerships for the British Red Cross and wider Red Cross movement?

Can you work closely with colleagues across our organisation to build commercial and ‘more than money’ partnerships to help people in crisis around the world?

We’re at an exciting time in the development of our Corporate Partnerships team, and are looking for an experienced fundraiser to help us take our partnerships to the next level.

What will a Head of Corporate Partnerships's job involve?

  • Deliver income in line with the Marketing and Fundraising strategy and financial targets. 
  • Deliver added value to support British Red Cross deliver organisational objectives and impact.
  • Maximise income for Emergencies from the UK corporate sector.
  • Create a strong corporate partnerships strategy based on internal and external insight.
  • Build a high performance team culture providing inspiring and coaching leadership.
  • Direct line management of Leads across Business Development, Account Management and Emergency Supporters.
  • Ensure the right tools, processes and was of working are in place to support the delivery of the Corporate Partnerships strategy.
  • Build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders, using influencing and negotiation skills to ensure that organisational priorities are delivered.

What will a Head of Corporate Partnerships need to be successful?

  • Extensive experience of corporate fundraising, with a demonstrable track record of raising funds and maximising opportunities with donors.
  • Strong experience of leading, managing, motivating and developing high performing teams.
  • Experience of developing and delivering an ambitious team / department fundraising strategy.
  • Demonstrable experience of developing and managing significant budgets and operating plans, setting and achieving fundraising target.
  • Demonstrable understanding of a broad range of corporate fundraising mechanisms and current trends in social responsibility.
  • Knowledge of charity legislation and in relation to corporate fundraising.
  • Excellent communication including presentation, negotiation and influencing skills with ability to build relationships at all levels including senior management.
