The British Red Cross is looking for a creative and dynamic PR and Celebrity Manager to join our award-winning Media team.
What you will be doing
You will lead the PR team to devise proactive PR campaigns covering both our UK and international work, shape our approach to celebrity liaison and work closely with our corporate partners on national media launches.
With our 150th anniversary coming up next year, this is an exciting time to be joining the British Red Cross.
Meet the team
You will head up a team of four, with overall responsibility for our proactive PR, corporate partnership communications activity and celebrity liaison.
The role of PR Manager sits within the Media department, which also includes the News and Social Media teams, and works very closely with the Multimedia team.
It is part of the Communications and Advocacy directorate which tells the stories about who we are, what we do, what we believe, and the difference we make to people's lives - so that both externally and internally people act, behave, or make decisions in a way that results in a positive change for people in crisis.
What we are looking for
To be successful in this role we require a dynamic, experienced PR professional who embraces the fast-paced environment of a busy media team.
We need someone who builds strong relationships with colleagues across multiple disciplines and thrives on delivering integrated campaigns.
With an excellent working knowledge of the media in the UK and with a strong understanding of both news and features as well as knowledge of what makes a good story or broadcast package, the successful candidates must have:
