Service Support Assistant - Mobility Aids
Location: Livingston
Fixed Term contract until 17th August 2020
Part time 20 hours per week (4 days- Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
Salary: GBP 17,137 per annum (pro rata)
Could you offer customer support and help colleagues to provide a high level service to our Mobility Aids customers?
We have a part time Service Support Assistant vacancy within our Livingston Mobility Aids hub office.
Whilst maintaining a high level of customer service you will also be responsible for ensuring the delivery service, stock control, booking and administration systems meet the needs of the service and maintain smooth and efficient operations.
Reporting to the Hub Manager, you will work with staff and volunteer colleagues in local Mobility aids offices (spokes) to ensure the needs of customers are met.
About the team
The British Red Cross Mobility Aids Service (MAS) offers the loan of wheelchairs and other mobility items to any individual on a short-term basis.
Our aim is to ensure that during a period of personal crisis everyone is able to access an item of equipment they may need, no matter whoever or wherever they are.
This role could be for you if...
You're a great communicator; you'll be the first point of contact for both members of the public and colleagues. It is a lively, fast paced office and you will need to be experienced and comfortable with both telephone and computer duties
You've got good administration and office skills; you'll be responsible for a stock control system, delivery services between 'hub' and 'spoke' offices and maintenance of the Mobile Online Ordering Module (MOOM) and Equipment Loans Management System (ELMS)
You're a team player; you'll be supporting colleagues in other locations and contributing to team meetings so knowledge of the Mobility Aids Service or a care industry background would be beneficial
