TITLE: Team Assistant - East and Southern Africa Region

Location: Moorgate, London
Contract: Permanent, Full-time.
Salary: GBP 23,584 per annum including Inner London Weighting

We are currently seeking an experienced administrator to join us a Team Assistant within the International Directorate within British Red Cross (BRC). The successful candidate will be based at our central London office and provide administrative support to our East and Southern Africa regional team.

The East and Southern Africa regional team sites within the International directorate of the British Red Cross. The British Red Cross helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. We are part of a global voluntary network, responding to conflicts, natural disasters and individual emergencies. We enable vulnerable people in the UK and abroad to prepare for and withstand emergencies in their own communities. Once the crisis is over, we help them in their recovery and rehabilitation.

The role of the Team Assistant is to:

  • Provide a high level of administrative support to the Head of Region

  • Ensure smooth running of the wider team through provision of effective administrative and support services

  • Diary management

  • Organise global and regional meetings and training

  • Arrange travel bookings

  • Provide financial administrative support to the team

  • Support recruitment processes

To be suitable for this opportunity you'll bring previous administration experience, excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities along with a solution orientated approach. You should have working experience in managing diaries, email and financial reporting. You'll also have the demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels and across cultures. An interest in the East and Southern Africa region and international humanitarian context would be an advantage.
