TITLE: Team Assistant (Logistics)
LOCATION: UK Office, London
CONTRACT: Permanent (full time)
SALARY: GBP 23,584 (including Inner London Weighting)
We are currently seeking a Team Assistant to join our International Logistics team within British Red Cross. The successful candidate will provide administrative support to our Logistics team, based at our central London office. As part of this exciting role the successful candidate will have the opportunity to be trained to participate in and provide support to our Logistics International Emergency Response unit.
The role of Team Assistant is to:
* Provide direct administrative and office support to the Logistics team
* Support the review of team budget ensuring compliance with BRC procedures and financial management systems
* Support and act as a focal point on internal and external information management
* Manage and support the filing of relevant team files
* Arrange travel bookings
* To support the management of the UKO inventory level
* Support recruitment processes
We're looking for someone with previous administration experience, excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage competing priorities along with a solution orientated approach. You'll also have the demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders at all levels and across cultures. An interest in Logistics and the international humanitarian context would be an advantage.
As part of the Logistics Team Assistant position you will have the opportunity to undergo training to join the Logistics Emergency Response Unit in an administrative capacity. This will require that once fully trained, the assistant be on call for one month per year for potential deployments in response to international emergencies.
