Working for a national Association, this is a fantastic opportunity to join our in-house education team based near Gloucester. The Association delivers a full programme of courses contributing to the Continuing Professional Development of veterinary surgeons and veterinary nurses.
Education Co-ordinator Responsibilities:
The Education Co-ordinator will participate in and contribute to the effective organisation, delivery, resourcing and marketing of the Association’s accredited educational programmes.
Education Co-ordinator Requirements:
We are looking for an individual with proven experience of working in an administration environment. Previous experience of the co-ordination, delivery and hosting of professional training/events and/or experience of maintaining student records in an academic setting is desirable.
A high degree of accuracy in data collection and management is vital preferably including administrative experience of maintaining student information. An awareness of educational learning platforms/technology is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Essential skills include:
The successful candidate will preferably have a related qualification, ideally in business administration and/or events management.
They will have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. They will need to work proactively as part of the team and have the ability to use their initiative to resolve any problems that might arise, recognising when to involve others.
In addition, the successful candidate will be a good communicator providing clear, concise written and verbal communications appropriate to the audience with the ability to remain organised and prioritise workload in a pressured work environment. An excellent level of customer service needs to be demonstrated.
The candidate must be flexible to occasionally work outside of normal office hours and at times travel throughout the UK, with potential travel abroad.
About British Small Animal Veterinary Association - BSAVA:
The BSAVA is a professional membership association which exists to advance care for companion animals. With a membership of more than 10,000 veterinary surgeons, vet nurses and students, we work in the UK and internationally to promote excellence in small animal practice through education and science, by facilitating training, conducting research and developing policy. Each year we deliver numerous education courses, host the largest small animal Congress in Europe, publish books, manuals, apps and magazines.
This post sits within the Education team, responsible to the Education Team Leader. In the absence of the Education Team Leader, the post holder will be responsible to the Head of Education. The post holder will be expected to exercise considerable personal initiative.

Salary: £20,691 and £22,880 per annum
