This is an exciting opportunity for a talented and ambitious Administrative Assistant to join our team!

British Society for Immunology
As a Learned Society of over 4,300 members, we promote excellence in immunology research and support those working in the field by running scientific meetings and webinars, publishing three scientific journals, Immunology, Clinical & Experimental Immunology and Immunotherapy Advances, and raising the voice of the immunology community by engaging with the public and policy-makers.

This is a dynamic time for immunology; the work we do for our members is more important than ever in helping to disseminate ideas, promote innovation and support careers.

The role
We’re looking for a full-time, Administrative Assistant with a passion for science to support our members and co-creating captivating communications to cover maternity leave.

As an integral member of our team, the role-holder will be the first point of contact for our members supporting them from their initial applications, through their renewal and helping resolve their general queries.

The Administrative Assistant will support the UK-CIC project – a new project bringing together UK scientists to research how COVID-19 affects the immune system.

The role-holder will collaborate across teams to support the organisation’s communications activities, working to maximise our visibility and reach. They will work closely with the Membership and Office Manager, the Head of External Affairs and be an essential member of the wider BSI team.

This creative and fast-paced role is ideally suited to a proactive and organised graduate/postgraduate who is looking to build up their experience in the science and healthcare sectors. The successful applicant will be able to develop further in their career as part of a fun, hardworking and extremely ambitious team.

We have a London office in Holborn but all staff are currently working from home. We are reviewing our ways of working, with a likely move to a mix of office and remote working.
