Job Description

Function

To work closely with the CEO and Treasurer and have day to day management of transactional finance.  To produce accurate and reliable financial information relating to the charity. To be responsible for the maintenance of all financial procedures for the charity, including developing, implementing and updating finance policies and procedures, payment schedules, purchase orders etc. To assist with budget forecasting and management. 
 

Job Context

The BSA is now in its 40th year.  It is a membership organisation, and much of our income comes now, and is expected to continue to come from, our members and supporters – supplemented by sales, grants and legacies.  We are transitioning over to using Salesforce which will hold essential data on members’ financial support of the BSA as well as records of grants and invoices.  Our accounts are held on Sage.  We are at the beginning of a transformative five year plan which we hope will support an expansion of services to members and will sit on an expanded membership base.
