Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind is a highly regarded, innovative local charity, working alongside people with mental health problems and dementia to improve their quality of life. With an annual turnover of more than £4m, over 150 staff and 250 volunteers, we are one of the largest charities in the Mind network.

Our MindCare Respite Service provides one-to-one support to people with dementia and gives family carers a much needed break. We are looking for Dementia Support Workers to support people living with dementia across Bromley borough, with a particular need in Orpington and surrounding areas.

You will be required to work in people’s homes, engaging clients in activities to help them maintain everyday skills, and providing support with daily living activities. You will need to wear PPE (mask, gloves and apron) in clients’ homes, and this will be provided.

You will need to be patient and flexible, and to have an interest, and perhaps some personal or work experience, in supporting older people. A full driving licence, use of a car and knowledge of the local areas are essential.

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check

We Can Offer You
