Job description

Salary: £24,500 + 3% pension 
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Flexible across the Borough with a central Bromley office base

Bromley Well is commissioned by the London Borough of Bromley and Bromley Clinical Commissioning Group to deliver services for local people to help them maintain both their physical and mental health as well as their independence and employment opportunities.

The Young Carers Service

The service supports young carers aged 4-19 to manage their caring relationships while also enjoying their childhoods. The service provides specialist emotional support through a range of mediums, opportunities for young carers to develop their own peer support systems and a programme of leisure activities offering a break from caring responsibilities.

The Role

To work under the direction of the Young Carers Co-ordinator to deliver an holistic service of support to all young carers, including those isolated and hard to reach, by offering a programme of outreach through schools and local organisations.

Requirements:

Reporting to the Young Carers Co-ordinator, here are some of the skills that will make you stand out:

  • Experience of working with children and young people
  • Experience of delivering information sessions to children and young people
  • Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication skills
