We provide free, confidential sexual health services and counselling in clinical settings throughout the country. Our education work supports young people’s emotional development and teaches core life skills, while our training for professionals improves the confidence of teachers to deliver effective, rights-based relationships and sex education.
About this position
You will be responsible for delivering Brook’s Communications Strategy, published in 2019. You will oversee both internal and external communications, tailoring your messaging to ensure that staff, young people, external stakeholders, donors and the public are engaged with Brook’s work.
You will have a positive attitude, excellent communication skills and be able to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including corporate and charity partners. You will also have a strong track record of managing multiple projects and deadlines.
You will be able to prioritise a demanding workload and work well under pressure and be able to make confident decisions based on your initiative. You will be organised and demonstrate excellent attention to detail, ensuring all work is of a high standard.
Essential to this role is demonstrable experience of working in a senior communications position, and preferably within a voluntary sector organisation. You will also have experience of managing staff and working collaboratively both internally and externally.
