Brothers of Charity Services (Scotland) have more than 200 staff and provide a variety of support services from supported living, social enterprise run cafes, care homes, training and development and short breaks, their aim is to provide bespoke care to each individual service user. The staff are passionate about supporting people to live life to the full, and to always experience being respected, cared about, valued and included.
The organisation is entering an exciting time of development as they look to expand in different areas, including wider geography, more services and broader age profile of service users.
The Health and Safety Manager is a vital new role, that reports to the Development and Quality Senior Manager. NEBOSH qualified with experience of multivenue responsibilities and an authority in their field, this role requires an exceptional Health and Safety professional, who ideally has experience within the care sector. With wide-ranging responsibilities, you day to day will include regular service onsite visits, home inspections, keeping up to date with external policy and guidelines and continuous review of internal policy and procedures.
This role requires someone with confidence in their ability to deliver, that can be respected throughout the organisation, a problem solver and completer finisher. They will need to feel confident in speaking at all levels, from senior management to individuals who have care provided in their own home. The Health and Safety Manager must be driven to maintain the highest possible standards throughout the organisation, promote best practice in order to receive a first-class Health and Safety review.
