We're looking for a Shop Support & Projects Manager! This is an exciting new opportunity to join our brilliant team in our Teddington shop in a brand new role, as part of our ongoing plans to grow our Retail teams and deliver inspiring retail spaces across the UK!
We want to bring the wonders of charity shops back to our high-street and we need driven and passionate people to get us there!
This position is for an initial 12-month fixed term contract.

About the Role
As Shop Support & Projects Manager, you will provide focused support on defined areas, working alongside the Shop Manager to understand the shop, community, and proposition.
This is an exciting new role with huge opportunity to impact the success of our Teddington shop, and to act as an ambassador for our brand in the local community!
Working closely with the Shop Manager in our Teddington shop, you'll take on a varied role delivering on key areas of work to enable the delivery of the shop's potential. You'll help embed new processes and ways of working that empower the volunteer team to help the Shop Manager drive the shop forward.
From supporting volunteer recruitment, to taking on responsibility for day-to-day operations or leadership of the shop, you'll provide key support and additional capacity to the Shop Manager to enable the shop's continued success.
About You
You will be someone with exceptional project coordination skills, who understands the importance of community and enjoys supporting people to exercise similar passions through volunteering.
You'll bring:
• Project coordination or operations experience within retail or a transferable setting, e.g. community engagement, volunteer management, retail operations etc.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build & maintain positive working relationships with a variety of people.
• A flexible, positive and resilient attitude, able to work at pace in a fast-moving environment.
• Results driven approach with experience of working to targets.
• Experience and confidence using a range of IT platforms including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), as well as systems for the management of other areas (e.g. reporting, volunteer management).
Previous charity retail experience is not essential. If you have transferable project management experience and are looking for a new challenge, we'd love to hear from you!

Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre are working in partnership with Wychavon District Council to recruit a Communications and Community Builder to work in and around Pershore and the surrounding villages.
The contract is for an initial 18-month term.
The initial focus of the Community Builder role is to research and establish a deep understanding of the area, collaborating with local residents and existing organisations to uncover the key community assets and skills of local residents.
The role involves ‘Supporting and encouraging residents to be active in their local community and helping them to take the lead on topics that are important to them.’
Confident at all levels and ‘have an interest in community led projects and services.

You will have the skills to create graphics, infographics, videos, and posters and also be competent at event organisation.

The role is based within the team at Pershore Plus Volunteer Centre and is an exciting new role, with potential to make a significant long-lasting impact in the Pershore and south - Wychavon neighbourhoods and communities

Job Purpose:
To contribute to growth in Children’s Services (CS) through providing support to
the Business Development Team through the identification of opportunities,
development and submission of proposals.
Key Responsibilities:
To act as co-ordinator within the BDU on the following key functions:
• Manage bid/tender information, market intelligence, pipeline development
and knowledge management supporting CS growth.
• Project support for tenders and grant applications, implementation and roll
out of successful bids.
• Undertake growth opportunity assessment, business case evaluation,
pipeline reporting and project planning.
Key Activities:
• Assist in the implementation and delivery of bid strategies leading to
successful bids, including market research and intelligence
• Manage and operate bid/proposal information systems, including
Commissioner portals, Customer Records Management (CRM) Business
Pipeline and Content Server, ensuring data and information are accurate
and current.
• Assess tender notices/opportunities, ensuring Business Case brief, contract
risk assessment and due diligence undertaken for each bid/proposal
• Manages tenders/proposals of low-medium value/priority and risk,
developing bespoke proposals that engage and secure new business and
retain existing services.
• Provide information and tender support to Business Development Manager
• Ensure bid deadlines are met and feedback collected on successful/
unsuccessful proposals.
• Provide support in first stage negotiations with new and existing clients/
partners and commissioners. Liaison with external clients and partners at
middle and senior management level and ensure that appropriate legal
agreements are in place.
