We are looking for a self-motivated person with a passion for our work, tenants, staff, churches and mission. We employ people of hope where humility, a genuine desire to love and serve others, and strength of character are as important as any job description. About us
We believe that everyone has the right to a home and churches have the power to meet the tragedy of homelessness in their community.
Starting 13 years ago, we have grown into a mature organisation working with over 100 churches running 110 homes for over 350 tenants.
We have won numerous awards both secular and Christian including from the Guardian newspaper, Homeless link and Centre for social Justice.
We provide not just shelter and housing know-how, but also the friendship of a church, we are passionate about harnessing the social, financial and spiritual power of churches to enact real change both in them and our tenants.
Our first home had a real heart for men coming out of prison. Homes are now available for a wide range of people experiencing homelessness: people in recovery from addiction, people sleeping rough, women and children fleeing domestic violence, people coming out of rehab, former prostitutes, refugees, those suffering mental health issues and survivors of human traffic
Roughly, 50% of our homes are in our ‘line-managed cities’ (Peterborough, Norwich, Nottingham, Cambridge), the other 50% are found across a further 30+ towns which we franchise into.
We encourage others to replicate our model through franchising. The tragedy of homelessness is in every community. Our vision is for every church to lovingly provide the homeless with a home.
Working at Hope into Action can be incredibly rewarding. We offer the opportunity to work in a supportive and flexible environment.

During the summer, we launched a membership magazine (PTA Extra), and a popular programme of parent webinar covering such topics as: ‘Supporting your child’s mental health’, ‘Helping your child succeed in KS2 English’, ‘Neurodiversity in Children Matters’.In the autumn began building a fundraising team to support PTAs by fundraising at the national level. In December we launched the highly successful ‘National Parent Survey’ to explore the challenges and concerns parents face. This year we relaunch a national publication for parents new to school, called ‘Be School Ready’, and our new ‘PTA Launchpad’ programme.

Every 6 minutes someone learns that they are losing their sight. Every five hours, a baby is born with sight problems. In these moments, two profound questions emerge:
• Can this be stopped?
• How do I (or my child) live this life?
The merger of Fight for Sight and Vision Foundation on 1st April 2023 will enable us to address both questions. By combining our strengths and expertise we’ll be the only significant national funder with the efficiency, capability, and capacity to increase investment in medical research and social improvement. Together we can mitigate both the prevalence and impact of sight loss.
We have a clear ambition, led by our CEO, Keith Valentine, who has valuable lived experience of sight loss. We’ve secured well-respected and highly engaged ambassadors and patrons, such as Sir John Major and Marsha De Cordova MP. We also benefit from world renowned researchers on our Research Grants Assessment Panel.
We are now looking for experienced, committed, and creative individuals to join our dynamic team as we devise and launch new five-year organisational and research strategies. You’ll have a chance to contribute to the delivery of these strategies and lead on plans for disseminating them.
