Bladder Health UK (BHUK) is a small national charity that has developed significantly over the last 10 years. We are now looking for a part-time charity manager who can continue this journey. The role gives a rare opportunity to someone who is enthusiastic to make a difference in this unique space and have a significant impact on both sufferers and healthcare professionals. As charity manager you will need a varied skillset including being able to build and nurture relationships, manage a small team of staff, develop new income streams, create, and develop imaginative projects and use innovative technology to boost the aims and objectives of the charity.

What you would do

Account management of existing and new relationships in the charity sector. • Research and write grant applications. • Support in making decisions and advise on the charity spend. • Work with the BHUK team to tell the story of ‘Bladder Health UK’ via its communication channels. • Support hosting and organising charity events. • Manage the general cashflow for the charity including reporting from a finance perspective. • Work on a multitude of projects throughout the year. • Outreach to relevant charities that the charity wants to work with and build long lasting, meaningful relationships with them. •. • Maintain all contracts, mailing lists, ensuring IT systems are kept up to date, and are compliant. • Manage ongoing governance of the charity, including developing and maintaining policy documents such as our grant making policy, conflict of interest processes, procedures and register, risk management policy and register. • Maintain charity commission register records. You will also be expected to be able to provide and present regular reports to the Trustees on the finance and operational activity of the charity.

To succeed in this post, it is essential that you have:

• Have been involved in charity campaign work previously.
• Have experience in charity operations and governance. 
• Have sales /marketing/fundraising experience.
• Be able to multi-task in a busy environment.
• Can demonstrate effective communication skills with ability to liaise with different audiences and be effective at developing long-lasting relationships.
• Evidence that you are highly organised and great with time management.
• Have experience developing social media, websites, and webinars to promote, inform and educate.

It would be desirable that you:

• Have either a clinical background or experience in urology issues.

About the role

As Shop Manager, you will be leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver an outstanding customer experience, creating a vibrant, fun place to shop, work and volunteer. You will have the autonomy to develop your shop and engage with the community and will be expected to attract volunteers and donations locally. You will achieve ambitious sales and training targets, maximising the impact on our mission to end homelessness. 

You will work collaboratively with a peer support group of shop managers and will have opportunities to build your own skills through training and development.

About you

To be successful in this role you need to be an experienced Shop Manager with proven track records of managing a high performing team and achieving sales results. You will have a genuine interest in charity retail and be seeking a challenge that stands out from other retail management roles. You will know how to manage and build Crisis’s reputation within the local community and be committed to Crisis’s values and mission to end homelessness.

You may have experience in; retail management, stock management, people management, customer service, recruitment/interviewing.

About you
As our Senior Philanthropy and Partnership Manager-Africa, you will be responsible for cultivating and stewarding relationships with Africa-based donors, including corporates, foundations, and high-net-worth individuals. Working closely with our Partnership and Philanthropy Team, as well as regional and country offices across Africa, you will drive new business opportunities and secure significant six to seven figure gifts. 

As part of the Africa Philanthropy team, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the Africa Philanthropy Initiative (API) and our mission to raise funds and develop strategic partnerships that benefit children across the African continent.

In this role, day -to- day, you will:

• Collaborate with country offices to progress existing opportunities and develop proposals for new business, leveraging local philanthropic trends.
• Work alongside the Head of Africa Philanthropy to implement strategic corporate and philanthropy aspirations, driving forward directly funded new funding models.
• Network and attend external events to raise visibility for Save the Children's Africa Philanthropy Initiative.
• Develop and implement strategic donor plans and stewardship events, tailored to engage and steward donors from Africa.
• Manage the Africa Advisory Board, identify potential donors, and ensure effective approaches are made to secure funds.

To be successful, it is important that you have:

The role

This role will identify, develop and manage top food partners relationships and strengthen existing business relationships with companies in the food industry, generating value for the partner and to secure growing and sustainable volumes of surplus food for the FareShare Network.

For designated top food partners, you will be their day to day point of contact with regular face to face contact at all levels. You will undertake structured, strategic account management, leading and coordinating FareShare’s engagement across our organisation. This will mean agreeing and executing a bespoke joint business plan with each account to get more food, money and strategic support. You will also feedback on ways that we can better support our accounts and improve our services to them.

You will work directly and be on-site with top food partners to help identify and overcome the barriers which exist to giving surplus food to people in need as well as increasing money and strategic resource.

You will also be required to work closely with FareShare colleagues within FareShare and across the UK in our partner organisations in order to identify and understand opportunities for creating mutual and shared value.

Main areas of responsibility

Partnership Management

• Contribute to the development of consistent, structured Joint Business plans with designated accounts that take into account food, funding and other strategic initiatives to drive growth in food, money and other strategic resources.
• Work on behalf of the account to develop and embed services relevant to the account and
• agreed through the joint business plan – e.g. employability or store level redistribution.
• Execute joint business plans and report internally and externally on progress.
• Research and understand your accounts, including key ESG initiatives, waste streams, key personnel within the organisation that will help drive its success and engage the relevant internal departments through both desked based research and face to face contact.

ROLE DETAILS 

Standing Voice is looking for an experienced Fundraising Manager based in or near London to join our UK team. This is an exciting and challenging role in a creative and focused working environment, within an organisation with multiple programmes and funding streams across 3 countries. This position suits an ambitious and experienced fundraiser, equipped with excellent written and oral communication skills and a depth of donor management experience. 

The successful candidate will report to the Executive Director and be tasked with advancing & implementing Standing Voice’s Fundraising Strategy including writing grants proposals; diversifying & scaling-up the organisation’s income streams; and managing donor relations and reporting. As well as working alongside UK fundraising, programmes and finance colleagues, the Fundraising Manager will work directly with our teams in Tanzania and Malawi to design and generate project proposals. 

Suitable candidates will demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills; a high level of organisation and accuracy in their work; and concrete experience of generating income through trusts and foundations, corporate partnerships, institutional donors, philanthropy partnerships, and individual giving. This important role will represent FareShare Sussex & Surrey engaging with corporate partners and key stakeholders such as council leaders, politicians and dignitaries across the region. 

Using your experience in engagement and relationship management you will work to consolidate existing partnerships and seek new opportunities across Sussex & Surrey, working to build strong relationships locally and encourage partnership, donations, sponsorships and corporate volunteering. The development team has an ambitious target of £1 million to raise, through various streams including corporate partnerships, individual giving, trust applications and other fundraising activities each year. The role will manage the corporate income stream and requires collaboration with all income generation to ensure effective management and stewardship of all partners.

You will develop an exciting donor journey which engages and encourages support from businesses and key stakeholders. Working with high-value supporters to maintain a good relationship with the organisation and fostering new partnerships. 

You will also work alongside our food Supply Manager to help provide a holistic partnership with our suppliers, encouraging them to support our work across the ESG / CSR spectrum.

The Huntington's Disease Association is a UK registered charity that supports people affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We provide information, advice and support to families, friends, and healthcare professionals.

Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Human Resources Manager will lead on and support the smooth running of the HR function and the management of effective and confidential systems and processes to deliver day to day HR services. 

They will manage the employee journey through all stages of the work cycle from recruitment, retention, development, performance and wellness to departure and act as first point of contact for HR related queries. ABOUT BLACK ROOTZ

Black Rootz is a multigenerational growing project providing opportunities for Black and racially minoritised people to grow food for themselves, their families and their communities. Black Rootz was established in 2019 by a collective of Black growers in Haringey who recognised the need to organise to challenge the deep inequalities in the growing and food systems. Over the past 5 years, Black Rootz has developed a holistic practice for Black and racially minoritised communities incorporating intergenerational knowledge transfer, increased access to land and food sovereignty, regenerative environmental practices and reduced food inequality.

Black Rootz has been incubated as a project within The Ubele Initiative since 2019. As an established name in the growing community, it is now building towards an independent future.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Project Manager is a new role that will provide hands on management capacity to Black Rootz. The role will bring experience and energy to support the delivery and continued development of the project’s core activities; the Community Growing Programme and a new workshop series. The Project Manager will take on a management position and, with support from Ubele, help the project to navigate decisions that will enable Black Rootz to achieve its overall social, environmental, and operational ambitions. 

The successful candidate will be central in Black Rootz’ journey towards a more independent and sustainable future. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with the complexity andholistic nature of Black Rootz and will be committed to its values. As a small team, the Project Manager will be as comfortable making plans and big decisions as they are rolling their sleeves up and being hands on to support the team. The Executive Management Administration team of 5, headed by the MD, run the organisation on a day-to-day basis. The team is supported by the REB board and committees, together with 3rd party providers for accounting, payroll, banking, media & public relations, website hosting and IT services.

Role and Responsibilities

New Position: Due to the increase in REB memberships and activities, a new full-time events role is being created to support the executive team.

Key Tasks – support the MD in creating and delivering a member engagement and events programme

1. Conception and collaboration of member events, through to completion

2. Promoting events to members, working alongside REB’s external PR/Communications agency

3. Managing event registrations and guest lists

4. Responsible for line managing the events administrator

5. Responsible for REB events planning, logistics, analysis (report & presentation) and follow-up actions

6. Attending meetings with members re event planning and development

7. Reporting quarterly to the board and attending board meetings with the Executive team

Detailed Responsibilities

1. Develop, manage and deliver REB’s event programme (working with MD and ED&I coordinator):

o upload event listings to website;

o prepare invitations;

o liaise with host venues;

o oversee registrations & comms;

o obtain event feedback

2. Monitor and evaluate events including reviewing feedback and attendance

3. Coordinate the CEO Breakfasts series

4. Maintain the Events page on the REB website

5. Maintain a database of venues

About the Role

There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to recruit a Fundraising Manager who can help take our fundraising work to the next level.

The Fundraising Manager will work with the team to drive Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be on strengthening our existing corporate partnerships pipeline, and managing new and existing corporate relationships. They will continue to develop and adapt the Learning with Parents proposition for corporate partnerships ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact on our shared mission. 

The Fundraising Manager will also support our work with High Net Worth Individuals and Trust and Foundations. Their responsibilities will also include line management of our Fundraising and Operations Officer to achieve their aims and objectives.

The Fundraising Manager will represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking events to raise our profile, build relationships and promote parental engagement in the charitable and education sectors.

Areas of Responsibility

Building a pipeline of corporate partners

• Working closely with Learning with Parents’ CEO and COO, research, qualify and prioritise prospects to create a buoyant pipeline.

• Maintain and update the prospect pipeline. 

• Engage with and cultivate potential corporate partners to develop meaningful collaborations with shared goals.

Stewarding new and existing funders

• Writing and submitting applications to corporate foundations and other trusts and foundations.

• Manage and steward Learning with Parents’ corporate partners, trust and foundations and other donors.

• Fulfil any donor due diligence requirements. 

• Draft compelling update reports and other written materials as required.

Feeding into the fundraising strategy 

• Input into Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy.

• Feed into discussions around what the Fundraising team should look like as the organisation grows.

Responding to new opportunities

• Engage with new fundraising opportunities such as Awards and connections with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs). 

• Develop and adapt Learning with Parents’ proposition for corporate partners, ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact of our shared mission. 

• Represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking to raise our profile.

• Update Learning with Parents’ case for support and other fundraising resources to meet new funding needs and opportunities.

Line Management

• Directly line manage Learning with Parents’ Fundraising and Operations Officer to achieve their goals and objectives.

About You 

Experience within a similar role, or within the charity sector, would be great. However, we know that a lot of the most important skills in this role are transferable from jobs in other sectors, such as relationship development, account management and business development. We want the right person and we will invest in training the right candidate as necessary.

The Campaigns and Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for attracting, converting and retaining supporters through our campaigns and digital marketing activity.  The role will particularly suit a creative leader with a keen interest in supporter acquisition, data insights, analysis, testing and measurement.
