Job Profile

Do you have accurate and quick administrative skills, excellent time management, and the emotional intelligence to write beautiful thank you letters to some of our most loyal and generous supporters?

CAFOD is looking for a Legacy and Tribute Funds Assistant who will provide daily assistance to our busy Legacy Team within the wider Fundraising and Participation Group. You will be line managed by the Head of Legacy Funding and you will report to the Legacy Administration Officer and the Candlelight Funds Officer in your day to day work. You will assist the Candlelight Funds Officer with data entry and supporter care tasks including setting up new tribute funds (for in memory and special occasions giving), logging donations and correspondence, preparing welcome packs and writing sensitive and heartfelt thank you letters. You will assist the Legacy Administration Officer by looking after the administration of simpler (pecuniary) legacy cases and providing data entry support on more complex (residuary) cases. You will roll up your sleeves to help your colleagues navigate a heavy workload and you will deputise for them when they are absent.

This is a varied and interesting role for someone who has a special blend of administrative and supporter care skills, the ability to work without close supervision, and a desire to pursue a career in legacy and tribute fundraising, supporter care or legacy administration.
