Job Profile and Scope

CAFOD has a strong history of major donor and philanthropy engagement across England and Wales. This post will be at the heart of the programme; helping to develop, implement and actively promote a high-net-worth individual major donor and philanthropy strategy. You will establish and further expand avenues to secure a high level of giving from existing and new donors and help grow a compelling peer to peer approach to grow support for CAFOD’s mission. You will be part of a thriving major donor team and you will manage a diverse pipeline of prospects and donors, working closely with colleagues on major gifts and philanthropy income streams. You will bring expert major donor knowledge, have experience of soliciting five figure donations and have an ability to develop compelling appeal campaigns to raise both restricted and unrestricted funds.

This post is a permanent post and sits in the Major Gifts and Philanthropy (MGP) section, part of the Supporter Fundraising and Participation Group.  You will report to the Major Donor Manager (MDM) and in the interim you may report to the Head of MGP. You will be expected to work closely with other members of the Major Donor, Trust and Foundation and the Corporate Partnership teams.  You will also liaise with other fundraising teams and across teams eg Integrated Fundraising and Business Innovation, Finance, Advocacy, Regions, the International Programme as appropriate.
